Baby Shall Not Live By Bread Alone…But He’s Trying

Small Fry likes bread.  Or bread-ish things.  Cinnamon toast, buttered toast, biscuits, pancakes, etc.  But y’all, that’s about it other than bananas, yogurt, buttered noodles, and applesauce.

What is a mama to do?

Tater Tot was and still is a great eater.  He doesn’t turn his nose up at much of anything except squash.  He’ll try most anything once, and nine times out of ten he likes it.

His little brother is the exact opposite.  If he sees anything green coming at him he makes the most gosh-awful face you’ve ever seen.  If the food has any kind of texture to it, he spits it out and purses his lips.  He won’t eat mashed potatoes or oatmeal.  Diced fruit is out.  He’s even started spitting out grilled cheese sandwiches.

I am at the end of my rapidly fraying rope when it comes to thinking of things to try, so I’m putting it out here on the world wide interweb and asking for ideas.  Please help a sister out if you can.

And go buy stock in Wonder bread, because we’re singlehandedly increasing their profits by the day.

Zach went through that phase. Now he’s getting better, and likes eggs for breakfast. Every.Morning.

Come on now, he’s just living up to his name – Small FRY.

Maybe you should have gone with something like… Small Fruit?

Sorry, I don’t have any advice to give. I’m looking for some because your son and my husband could be twins…

Josie loves pasta – I make her little raviolis or tortellini a lot with a little bit of sauce. And, she eats way more mac and cheese than I want to admit! She was not at all impressed with the last grilled cheese sandwich I made for her and I kept thinking what is not to love about grilled cheese!?

Will he eat a nutrigrain bar cut up? We also just tried one of those Birds Eye Steam Fresh pasta and veggie bags and she ate it up. I know it is frustrating and they definitely go through phases with this stuff!
